What the Performance Page Shows
Performance combines Google Search Console and Google Analytics into one view, with Overview, Search Console, and Google Analytics tabs. Search Console data lags about three days and Analytics about one day.

Performance is at Sidebar β Measure β Performance. It brings your Google Search Console and Google Analytics data together, described in the product as "Search visibility and website behavior for your project, together in one focused view."
It shows your Google data. It is not a NarraSEO ranking estimate, and nothing here is invented.
You Have to Connect Google First
With neither source connected you see "Connect Google to see what works" and a Connect Google button. NarraSEO requests read-only access.
The two sources are separate and each is useful on its own:
Google Search Console gives you clicks, impressions, CTR, position, top queries, and landing pages.
Google Analytics gives you users, sessions, engagement, page views, and acquisition channels.
Connecting one shows a banner saying the other still needs setup, with a Finish setup link.
The Three Tabs
Reporting Period
Four ranges: 1d, 7d, 30d, and 90d.
Every range compares against the previous period of equal length. Metric cards are footnoted "Compared with previous period", and where there is no earlier data you see "No prior baseline" rather than a misleading change figure.
There is no year-on-year comparison option.
The Metrics
From Search Console
Clicks, Impressions, CTR, and Average position.
The tooltip explains how they are derived: "Search Console property totals. CTR is clicks divided by impressions; position is weighted by impressions."
From Google Analytics
Active users, Sessions, Views, Engagement rate, and Key events.
The tooltip: "GA4 property totals. Active users are unique users for the selected range. Engagement rate is engaged sessions divided by sessions."
Empty cells show a dash rather than a zero, because no data and zero are different things.
The Sections
Depending on the tab:
- Traffic and search demand, the trend chart.
- Period highlights, the leading signals for the window.
- Top pages and Top queries.
- Clicks by country and Devices.
- Channel performance, Sessions by channel, and Source / medium.
- AI referral, active user-days from AI assistants and answer engines.
AI referral is worth knowing about. It shows traffic arriving from AI assistants, which is increasingly where people research before they ever reach a search results page.
Data Lag, Which Explains Most Confusion
Search Console lags about three days. Analytics lags about one day.
If you publish today and check tomorrow, expect Analytics to show something and Search Console to show nothing. That is Google's reporting delay, not a fault in NarraSEO.
When a window has no data you see "Waiting on reporting data", which states the lag and suggests widening the period.
Sync Now
Sync now pulls the latest Google data. You will see "Sync started. Pulling the latest Google data now."
While it runs, a Sync in progress banner explains the page updates when it finishes.
Syncing does not create data Google has not published yet. If Search Console has not reported the last three days, syncing will not retrieve them.

Notes
Performance is per project, because each project is a different website.
There is no plan gate on the page itself. What is limited is how many projects can connect Google, from 1 on Starter up to 40 on Scale, as of 2026-08-30.
Filtered Search Console totals can undercount, because Google withholds low-volume country and device data for privacy. The page says so where it applies.
Active users are a property-level figure, so they are unavailable when you filter by channel, source, or medium.
What to Look at First
For a new site, most of this will be empty for a while, and that is normal rather than a problem.
Once you have data, the two most useful views are Top queries, which tells you what people actually search to find you, and Top pages, which tells you which content is doing the work. Both are more actionable than the headline totals.
