Automatic top-up buys a credit pack when your credits fall below a threshold you choose. It exists so unattended work does not stop halfway.

Who This is For

It is worth turning on if you rely on scheduled work: Autoblog publishing, monthly AI Visibility refreshes, or scheduled site audits. Those run whether or not you are watching, and they pause when credits run out.

If you only write articles by hand, you probably do not need it. You will see the low balance warning in the top bar and can top up when it suits you.

Steps

  1. Select Settings in the top bar.
  2. Select Usage.
  3. Find Automatic top-up.
  4. Turn it on.
  5. Set the threshold at which a pack should be bought.
  6. Choose which pack to buy.
  7. Save.

Choosing a Threshold

Set it above the cost of the largest single thing you run automatically, so a top-up triggers before something fails rather than during it.

As a guide, using prices as of 2026-08-30:

  • An article is 300 credits, or 500 with AI images.
  • An AI Visibility run is your prompts multiplied by your platforms multiplied by 10. Ten prompts on four platforms is 400 credits.
  • A site audit is up to 100 credits per run.

A threshold of 1,000 credits covers any single one of those comfortably. If you publish several Autoblog articles a day, go higher.

Notes

Top-up uses the payment method on your account. If that card expires or fails, the top-up fails, and the work that depended on it pauses. After two consecutive failed attempts, automatic top-up stops trying, so a dead card does not generate repeated charges against your account. Fix the payment method and turn it back on.

Purchased packs last 12 months and are spent after your plan credits, exactly as a manually bought pack would be.

You can turn it off at any time without affecting credits already bought.

If automatic top-up fires most months, that is a signal your plan is too small. Per credit, moving up a plan costs less than repeated packs.

If the Settings Will Not Load

You will see a message saying your automatic top-up settings did not load and have not changed. Nothing has been altered. Use Try again.
