Update your Profile

Settings then Profile holds your photo and display name. The photo accepts JPG, JPEG, or PNG, and you can also pick a generated face instead of uploading one.

Your photo and display name are in Settings β†’ Profile, under Identity.

Change your Display Name

  1. Select Settings in the top bar.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Edit Display name.
  4. Select Update profile.

Your display name is shown on your profile and to teammates. You will see "Saved" when it has gone through.

Change your Profile Photo

Select the photo to change it. You have two options.

Upload a Photo

Select Upload photo. Accepted formats are JPG, JPEG, or PNG. A square image works best.

Other file types are rejected with "Use a JPG, JPEG, or PNG file." Convert the file rather than renaming it, since the check looks at the actual format.

Pick a Face

If you would rather not upload a photo, use Pick a face to choose a generated avatar. Shuffle cycles through options, and Use this face applies the one you like.

Remove your Photo

Remove photo clears it and falls back to a default.

Notes

Your profile is per person, not per workspace. Changing your name or photo changes it everywhere, including in every team workspace you belong to.

Your display name is separate from a team workspace's name. Renaming the workspace is done in Settings β†’ Members, under the workspace panel, and requires the appropriate permission.

Your display name is also separate from the author profile used in article bylines. That lives in your Brand Profile, because it is about the brand you are publishing under rather than about your account.

Profile images may be served from public URLs, so treat the photo as public.

Also on This Screen

The Profile section holds two more panels:

  • Sign-in, for your email address and password
  • Security, for two-factor authentication and connected sign-in methods

Both have their own articles.
