Delete your Account

Deletion is requested from the Danger zone in Settings and is scheduled 14 days ahead. You can cancel any time during those 14 days. After the date passes, it is permanent.

Last updated 1 day ago

Deleting an account is permanent, but not immediate. There is a 14 day window in which you can change your mind.

Cancelling a Plan is Not Deleting an Account

These are different actions and worth separating:

  • Cancelling your plan stops billing. Your account, projects, and documents remain, and you can resubscribe later.
  • Deleting your account removes your account and its data.

If you want to stop paying, cancel the plan. Delete the account only if you want the data gone.

Steps

  1. Select Settings in the top bar.
  2. Select Danger zone.
  3. Request account deletion.
  4. Complete the confirmation.

What Happens Next

Deletion is scheduled 14 days ahead. A banner appears saying "Account deletion scheduled", with the exact date and a countdown of days left.

During those 14 days:

  • You can still sign in.
  • You can cancel any time in Settings, using Manage deletion on the banner.

After the scheduled date passes, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed by us or by you.

On a Team Account

Members see a different banner: "This account is scheduled for deletion", telling them access ends on the date, and that only the owner can cancel.

If you own a team workspace and other people work in it, tell them before you do this. Their access ends on the date along with yours.

Before you Delete

Three things worth doing while you still can:

Export anything you want to keep. Documents can be downloaded as Word, PDF, HTML, or Markdown files. Once deletion completes, they are gone.

Check nothing is published that you still need to manage. Articles already published to your website stay on your website. Deleting your NarraSEO account does not remove them, and it does remove your ability to manage them from here.

Cancel your subscription if you have one, so billing stops cleanly rather than depending on the deletion.

Notes

Deleting your personal account does not delete team workspaces you are merely a member of. It removes you from them.

Deleting a team workspace is a separate action from deleting your personal account, and takes that workspace's projects and documents with it.

Some records are retained after deletion where we are required to keep them, such as billing records for tax purposes. Our Privacy Policy is the authoritative statement on what is retained and for how long.

Account deletion can be turned off in some environments, in which case the Danger zone says "Account deletion is not enabled for this environment."

If you Change your Mind after the 14 Days

You will need to create a new account. Nothing from the deleted one carries over, and a new account does not include another trial if the previous one had used it.
