My AI Visibility Check Found Nothing

A Not visible result is usually a real answer rather than a fault. Check the project has a website, that prompts are tracked and have been checked, and that partial results are not being caused by unavailable platforms.

Your prompts came back Not visible, or the page shows no results.

First: "Not Visible" is Usually the Truth

This is worth saying plainly. A Not visible result normally means the AI assistant did not mention your brand for that question.

That is information, not a malfunction. It is the thing the feature exists to tell you.

Most sites start out invisible for most prompts. Being cited by AI assistants is difficult and takes substantive content on the topic.

So before troubleshooting, ask whether the result is plausibly correct. If you have no in-depth page on the topic, Not visible is the expected answer.

Cause 1: No Website on the Project

You will see "Connect your website to start tracking AI visibility" with a Connect website button.

Citations are matched against your website, so the project needs one. Set it in Brand Profile β†’ Business.

Cause 2: No Prompts Tracked

With no prompts you see "Start tracking your AI visibility".

Use Add prompt or Add your first prompts, or take one from Suggested prompts with Track.

Cause 3: The Check Has Not Run Yet

Adding a prompt does not check it immediately.

If a check is running you see "A prompt check is running. Results refresh automatically when it completes."

You can recheck an individual prompt with Refresh in Manage prompts. The credit cost is shown on the button.

Cause 4: Partial Results

You may see "Some AI platforms or competitor sources are unavailable. Metrics reflect only the completed checks."

Rates are calculated only from completed checks, so a partial run can look worse than reality. Refresh the prompts you care about once the platforms are available again.

Cause 5: Your Plan Covers Fewer Platforms

Platforms available by plan, as of 2026-08-30:

Plan

Platforms

Trial, Starter

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews

Creator

Adds Gemini and Perplexity

Pro, Agency, Scale

All six, adding Grok and Claude

You are only measured on the platforms your plan includes, so a result covers less ground on a lower plan.

Cause 6: No Credits

Each check costs 10 credits per prompt per platform. Ten prompts across two platforms is 200 credits.

Check Settings β†’ Usage. If the balance ran out, checks cannot run.

This also affects auto-refresh. A monthly refresh needs credits available on the day it runs, so a low balance means it silently does not happen.

Cause 7: The Prompts are Not Answerable

Some prompts have no useful answer to be visible in. A very broad question, an ambiguous one, or one with no commercial dimension may not produce the kind of list where brands get named.

Average position only counts list placements. If an assistant mentions you in prose rather than in a numbered or bulleted list, that counts towards mention rate and not towards position, which can look like a partial result.

Quick Checks in Order

  1. Consider whether Not visible is the correct result.
  2. Check the project has a website.
  3. Check prompts are tracked, and use Manage prompts to see them.
  4. Check a check has actually run, and refresh a prompt if not.
  5. Check Settings β†’ Usage for credits.
  6. Look for a partial results notice.
  7. Reconsider the prompt if it is broad or unanswerable.

If the Page Will Not Load at All

You may see "AI visibility data could not be loaded" with "The available sources did not return results. Your project settings and stored data were not changed." Use Try again.

Nothing is lost when this happens.

What to Do about Being Genuinely Invisible

This is the useful path, and it is not a support issue.

  1. Look at Top sources for that prompt. Those are the sites assistants cite on your topic.
  2. Read what gets cited and note what those pages have in common. Usually specific, well structured, answering directly.
  3. Check Visibility opportunities, which lists gaps you could reasonably compete in.
  4. Write an article answering the prompt directly.
  5. Attend to the GEO signals in your Content Score: intent alignment, key takeaways, FAQ coverage, extractable structure, fact density, and references. That component exists precisely for citability.
  6. Wait, then refresh that prompt. Weeks, not days.

There is no submission process for AI assistants. Visibility follows from being a good source.

Notes

Results vary between runs. The same prompt can produce different answers, so judge trends rather than single checks.

Auto-refresh only rechecks prompts you have flagged for it. The toggle alone does nothing.

The feature is enabled in production. A clearly labelled Sample data banner means you are on an environment where it is not enabled, and those results are illustrative rather than measurements of your site.

What AI Visibility tracks covers the metrics and costs. Tracking prompts and reading your results covers writing prompts worth tracking.
