Find and Manage your Documents

Documents lists everything you have written, with search, filters by type, status and project, sorting, and bulk archive and delete. Status shows both draft progress and where an article stands on your site.

Last updated 1 day ago

Everything you write lands in Documents, at Sidebar → Create → Documents. That includes Write Article and Quick Draft output, Ask Narra pages, and blank documents you write yourself.

Finding a Document

Search matches document titles. The box is labelled "Search documents…".

Filters narrow the list by:

  • Content type, grouped into document types and article formats
  • Status
  • Project

Sort offers recently edited, oldest edited, title A to Z or Z to A, type, and status.

Reading the List

Each row shows the title, type, project, status, word count, and quality score out of 100, plus when it was created and last edited.

The Source column tells you where a document came from: Write Article, Quick Draft, Ask Narra, or Blank document. Useful when you are trying to remember how something was produced.

What Each Status Means

Statuses cover two different things at once: how far the draft has got, and where it stands on your website.

Draft progress

Status

Meaning

Draft

Saved, not finished

In progress

Being worked on

Generating…

Currently being written

Boosting…

Content Boost is running

Humanizing…

Being rewritten to sound more human

Humanize ready

The humanize check has finished and results are ready

Completed

Finished in NarraSEO

On your website

Status

Meaning

Draft on site

Sent to your CMS as an unpublished draft

Scheduled

Sent to your CMS with a future publish date

Published

Live on your site

Completed means finished here, not live on your site. Published is the status that means live.

Archived appears for documents you have archived.

There is a separate article covering publish statuses in more detail.

Creating a Document

New Document offers three routes:

  • Blank Document, which you write yourself
  • Write Article, the guided wizard
  • Quick Draft, the fast flow

Archiving

Archiving hides a document from your main list without deleting it. Use it for drafts you have abandoned but do not want to lose.

Select Archive document on a single row, or select several documents and use Archive. Filter by the Archived status to find them again, then Restore document.

Archiving is the safe option. Prefer it to deleting unless you are certain.

Deleting

Deleting is permanent. The confirmation dialog is explicit about what happens: the document is removed, it is unlinked from content plans, projects, and related workflows, and its data goes with it.

You have to type a confirmation to delete a single document.

Deleting a document in NarraSEO does not remove anything already published to your website. If an article is live on your site, unpublish it there.

Bulk Actions

Select several documents using the checkboxes, then archive, restore, or delete them together. The count of selected documents is shown.

Bulk delete lists what you are about to remove, so you can check the selection before confirming.

Notes

Documents are scoped to the project you are in. If something is missing, check the project switcher at the top of the sidebar and the project filter before assuming it is gone.

Personal and team workspaces hold separate document lists.

Untitled documents appear as such rather than being hidden, so an abandoned draft is still findable.
