Connect Duda

Duda has two routes. The recommended one is an RSS feed, where you generate a key in NarraSEO and paste the feed URL into Duda. The optional Partner API route needs a site name, API username, and API password.

Duda is the one platform with two genuinely different routes, and the recommended one needs no API credentials at all.

Which Route to Use

RSS feed. Recommended for most Duda sites. NarraSEO describes it as: "Recommended for most Duda sites. Completed articles appear in the feed automatically. Generate a secure feed URL, paste it in Duda, and leave Rotate for leaked keys only."

Partner API. Optional, and only worth it if you already have Duda Partner API access. It requires requesting access from Duda, which most site owners have no reason to do.

Route A: RSS Feed

Steps

  1. Open Sidebar → Integrations.
  2. Find Duda under Publishing & CMS.
  3. In the RSS feed section, select Generate RSS key.
  4. Your RSS URL appears. Select Copy URL.
  5. In Duda, add the feed URL to your blog's RSS import.

Completed articles then appear in the feed automatically.

About the Key

Rotate key generates a new key and invalidates the old one, which breaks the feed until you paste the new URL into Duda.

Use it only if the URL has leaked. The product says so directly: leave Rotate for leaked keys only.

What RSS Means in Practice

The feed is a list of your completed articles. Duda reads it and imports them.

The consequence is that this route gives you less direct control than an API connection. There is no Verify connection button, and there is no publish status choice, because you are not pushing individual articles.

For most Duda sites that trade is worth making, since it removes the credential setup entirely.

Route B: Partner API

Only if you have Duda Partner API access.

What you Need

  • A Duda site with a blog.
  • Partner API username and password. Request API access from Duda if you do not have credentials.

Steps

  1. In Duda, find your site name under Site Overview. This is the unique site identifier, not the public URL.
  2. In Sidebar → Integrations → Duda, open Partner API (optional).
  3. Fill in the three fields:

  1. Select Connect Partner API.
  2. Select Verify connection.

On success you see "Duda connection verified." On failure: "Could not verify the Duda connection. Check your Partner API credentials and site name."

Requirements

The site must have a blog before publishing will work.

Publishing Options

Through the Partner API, Duda uses Post status with Draft, Published, and Scheduled, plus a Publish date field.

Through RSS, articles flow into the feed when they are completed.

If it Will Not Work

RSS: the feed URL was not saved in Duda. Confirm you pasted the whole URL.

RSS: you rotated the key. The old URL stopped working. Copy the new one into Duda.

RSS: no completed articles. The feed only carries completed articles. A document at In progress will not appear.

Partner API: you used the public URL as the site name. It wants the site identifier.

Partner API: no API access. Duda grants Partner API credentials on request. If you do not have them, use RSS.

Notes

The connection is per project.

The RSS URL contains a secret key. Treat it like a password, and rotate it if it is exposed.
