Connect an Integration

Open Integrations at the bottom of the sidebar, find your platform under Publishing & CMS, and follow its guide. Credential-based platforms have a Verify connection button you should use before publishing.

Integrations live at the bottom of the sidebar, under Integrations. Connections are per project.

Steps

  1. Open Sidebar → Integrations.
  2. Find your platform. CMS platforms are under Publishing & CMS, and developer tools under Developer.
  3. Follow the guide shown for that platform. Each has numbered steps and links to the right screen on the platform's own site.
  4. Enter the credentials, or complete the approval if it uses OAuth.
  5. Select Verify connection where it is offered.

The Three Connection Patterns

OAuth Approval

Wix is a single button. Select Connect Wix, approve blog publishing, and you are done.

Shopify and BigCommerce need a store identifier first, then OAuth. Shopify asks for your store name without the domain, since it adds .myshopify.com for you. BigCommerce asks for the store hash.

Start OAuth from NarraSEO rather than from your platform's app marketplace. BigCommerce says so explicitly: "Connect from NarraSEO, not from the BigCommerce control panel."

Credential Form

You collect a token from your platform and paste it in. WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Framer, Joomla, Drupal, GoHighLevel, Brilliant Directories, and Contentful work this way.

Every one of these has a two-step guide on the Integrations page. Step one tells you where in your platform to create the credential, usually with a link. Step two is pasting it in.

RSS Feed

Duda recommends this route. Select Generate RSS key, copy the RSS URL, and paste it into Duda. Completed articles appear in the feed automatically.

Verifying

Credential-based integrations have a Verify connection button, which shows Verifying… while it checks and then confirms, for example "Ghost connection verified."

Use it. A failed verification names what to check, which is far more useful than a failed publish halfway through your first article.

If verification fails, the message tells you which field to look at. For Webflow: "Could not verify the Webflow connection. Check the collection ID and token."

Sometimes a connection sits at Pending verification, meaning NarraSEO could not confirm the details yet. Re-check the credentials and verify again.

OAuth platforms have no verify button, because completing the approval is the confirmation. You see a banner such as "Shopify connected".

Common Setup Problems

Copying the wrong key. Several platforms have more than one. Ghost needs the Admin API key, not the Content API key. This is the single most common mistake.

Keys shown only once. Brilliant Directories and Contentful show the key once at creation. Copy it before closing the screen, or generate a new one.

Missing platform setup. Some platforms need something enabled first. Joomla needs the Web Services and API Authentication plugins. Drupal needs JSON:API and HTTP Basic Authentication, with write operations allowed. Shopify needs at least one blog to exist.

Collection structure. Webflow, Framer, and Contentful publish into a collection that must have the right fields. Webflow needs Name, Slug, and a rich text field with the slug post-body. Framer needs Title and a rich text Content field. Contentful needs Symbol or Text fields for title and slug and a Long text field for body, because Rich Text is not supported yet.

Firewall blocking access. WordPress needs /wp-json reachable. Cloudflare and security plugins commonly block it.

Using an email instead of a username. WordPress wants your login username.

Plan Requirements

CMS integrations are available on every plan.

Developer integrations require Creator or above. If you are below that you see "Not included on your plan" with a Creator+ badge, and the setup guide is still readable so you can see what is involved.

Notes

Integrations are per project. Connecting a platform for one project does not connect it for another, because they are different websites.

Credentials are stored encrypted.

You can connect more than one platform to a project and choose the destination when you publish.

Disconnecting stops future publishing. Articles already published stay on your site.

On WordPress, the NarraSEO Bridge plugin is recommended but not required. It enables SEO metadata sync and connection health checks.

Publishing works without it. Your SEO title and description are more likely to land correctly with it, so it is worth installing if you rely on those fields.
