Control Project Access and Member Credit Limits

Each member gets access to specific projects and an optional monthly credit limit. Limits cap what someone can spend from the shared pool, they do not reserve credits, and owners are never limited.

Two controls sit alongside a person's role: which projects they can open, and how many credits they can spend a month. Both are set per person.

Change Project Access

  1. Switch to the team workspace.
  2. Select Settings, then Members.
  3. Find the person and open their project access settings.
  4. Select the projects they should be able to open.
  5. Save.

You will see "Project access updated." when it works.

Notes on Project Access

At least one project is required. You cannot leave someone with access to nothing.

Access is per project, not per document. Someone with access to a project sees all of its documents, its Brand Profile, its integrations, and its Performance, AI Visibility, and Site Audit data.

You can only grant access to projects you can access yourself.

Someone with no project access shows as "No project access" in the list.

This is the right tool for agencies. Give a freelancer access to the one client project they work on, and they will not see the rest.

Set a Monthly Credit Limit

  1. Go to Settings → Members.
  2. Open the person's settings.
  3. Set Monthly credit limit.
  4. Save.

Their limit appears as a badge in the member list.

Set a Default for New Members

Go to Settings → Usage and find the team spend section. The default applies to anyone who joins without a personal limit set.

How Limits Actually Behave

Four things worth being clear about:

Limits cap spend, they do not reserve credits. Giving someone a 2,000 credit limit does not set 2,000 credits aside. It stops them spending more than 2,000. If the account balance runs out, nobody can spend, limits or not.

A per-member limit always wins over the account default.

New members inherit the default until you set a personal limit for them.

Owners are never limited. Setting a limit on an owner has no effect.

Choosing a Limit

Work backwards from articles. At 300 credits each, or 500 with AI images, a 3,000 credit limit is around 10 articles a month, or 6 with images.

Add headroom if the person also runs site audits or AI Visibility checks, since those draw from the same pool.

Seeing Who Spent What

Settings → Usage shows this month's charges per member, alongside the limits in force. That is the place to check before adjusting anyone's limit, rather than guessing.

Notes

Changing a limit takes effect immediately. It does not claw back credits already spent.

Removing someone from the workspace does not delete their work. Documents stay in the projects where they were created.

If a member reports being unable to generate an article while the account clearly has credits, check their monthly limit before anything else.
