Change or Cancel your Plan
Change plan or cancel from Settings then Billing, through the billing portal. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have paid for, and your content stays in your account.
Last updated 1 day ago
Both are self-serve from Settings. You do not need to contact us to cancel.
Change your Plan
- Select Settings in the top bar.
- Select Billing.
- Open the billing portal under Your subscription.
- Choose the plan you want.
Moving to a larger plan takes effect immediately, and your new credit allowance applies from that point.
Moving to a smaller plan applies at your next renewal, so you keep what you have paid for until the period ends.
Cancel your Plan
- Select Settings in the top bar.
- Select Billing.
- Open the billing portal.
- Cancel the subscription there.
What Happens when you Cancel
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling on day 3 of a monthly period does not cut you off on day 3.
Your content stays. Documents, projects, brand profiles, keyword lists, and connected integrations are not deleted by cancelling. Cancelling a plan and deleting an account are separate actions.
Plan credits stop being granted. You will not receive a new monthly allowance.
Features that need an active plan stop once the period ends. That includes writing new articles and running credit-consuming work. You can still sign in.
Refunds
There is a 7 day refund window on your first conversion from trial to paid, covering unused credits. The exact terms are in our Terms of Service, which is the authoritative statement.
Outside that window, plans run to the end of the period you paid for rather than being refunded pro rata.
Notes
Changing plan does not restart a trial, and it does not carry unused plan credits into the new period. Plan credits expire with the period they were granted for.
Credit packs you have already bought are not affected by a plan change or a cancellation, and remain valid for 12 months from purchase.
If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a retry state. You can still spend credits you have, but no new monthly allowance is granted until payment succeeds. Updating your card in the portal resolves it.
Who Can Do This
Account owners only. In a team workspace, the owner of that workspace controls its subscription. Being a member of the workspace does not grant billing access.
Coming Back
Resubscribing restores access to everything still in your account. Since cancelling does not delete your work, picking up where you left off is usually a matter of choosing a plan again.
Note that a second subscription does not include another trial. Trials are one per account.
