Make an Article Sound More Human
Humanize scans your draft for a Naturalness score at no credit cost, then rewrites stiff body paragraphs and lists for 50 credits. The rewrite is charged when it is generated, and you review it before applying.
Last updated 1 day ago
Humanize softens wording that reads as stiff or machine-written. The product describes it as: "Softens stiff body paragraphs and lists. Headings, CTAs, and media stay as-is."
There are two parts, and only one of them costs credits.
The Check is Free
Selecting Humanize first scans the draft, showing "Scanning draft naturalness…" while it works. You get a Naturalness score out of 100 and a list of what was flagged.
This check is included, with a monthly fair-use allowance that scales with your plan and is deliberately set above the number of articles your plan can produce. In practice you can check every article you write.
So there is no reason to skip the check. Run it, then decide.
The Rewrite Costs 50 Credits
As of 2026-08-30.
The credit note in the product states the terms: "Scanning naturalness is free. The rewrite costs 50 credits, charged when it is generated. Reviewing, rejecting, or undoing it does not refund, and running Humanize again is a new rewrite at the same price."
Read that carefully, because it is the part people get wrong. You are charged when the rewrite is generated, not when you apply it. Keeping the original after seeing the comparison does not refund the credits.
Steps
- Open the article in the writing workspace.
- Select Humanize in the right-hand panel.
- Wait for the free scan. You will see your Naturalness score and what was flagged.
- Read the flagged items and decide whether the rewrite is worth 50 credits.
- Select Humanize in the dialog to generate the rewrite.
- When it is ready, the button becomes Review rewrite.
- Compare Before and After, stepping through with "Change 2 of 7".
- Select Apply rewrite, or Keep original.
What the Confirmation Dialog Tells You
- Your Naturalness score.
- Whether this is your First run or Run 3 of this article.
- What was flagged, or "Looks solid. Nothing flagged in body wording."
- If the score is already at the top: "Naturalness is already maxed. Humanize won't improve this draft further."
Those last two messages are the product telling you not to spend the credits. Take the advice.
Reviewing the Rewrite
The review dialog is titled Review rewrite, and explains: "Compare before and after. Apply uses one run only when Naturalness improves. Keep original is free."
You see Before and After side by side, and step through each change individually.
While it confirms the new score you see "Confirming Naturalness…" with the hint that apply unlocks only if it improves. If the rewrite does not improve Naturalness, you cannot apply it.
Keep original costs nothing extra. It does not refund the 50 credits already spent generating the rewrite.
Undoing
After applying you see Humanize applied with an Undo option. Undoing restores your previous wording and does not refund credits.
What it Does Not Touch
Headings, calls to action, and media are left alone. It works on body paragraphs and lists.
This is deliberate. Headings carry your keywords and structure, and rewriting them would change your SEO signals.
What Naturalness is Not
It is not an AI detector score. NarraSEO reports Naturalness and does not claim to predict what any third-party detection tool will say. Nobody can promise that, and you should be sceptical of any product that does.
It is not part of your Content Score. The dialog is explicit: it improves Naturalness, described as an estimate, not Content Score. Running Humanize will not raise your Content Score.
When it is Worth 50 Credits
Worth it when the draft reads competently but flatly, when Naturalness is low and several body paragraphs are flagged, or when the piece is going somewhere prominent.
Not worth it when nothing is flagged, when Naturalness is already high, or when the real problem is that the article is inaccurate or thin. Humanize changes how sentences sound, not whether they are worth reading.
Consider editing instead. You know your voice better than any tool. If only two or three passages are flagged, rewriting them yourself is free and usually better.
Notes
Running Humanize again is a new rewrite at the same price. It does not resume or refine the previous one.
There is a safety limit on how many times a single article can be humanized. If you reach it you will see "Safety limit reached" or "No Humanize runs left for this article."
The Content Score pauses updating while Humanize runs.
A better long-term fix is your Brand Profile. A well-filled Voice tab, with specific instructions and a real description of how you sound, produces drafts that need less humanizing in the first place.
