Write your First Article
Use Write Article to go through topic, research, keywords, title, structure, and enhancements, then generate. An article costs 300 credits, or 500 with AI-generated images.

This walks through one article end to end using Write Article, the guided flow. It takes about 5 minutes of your input, then a few minutes of generation while you do something else.
Credit figures are as of 2026-08-30.
Before you Start
Finish project onboarding first. Write Article reads your Brand Profile for tone, audience, services, and competitors, and an empty profile produces noticeably more generic writing.
An article costs 300 credits, or 500 credits if you turn on AI-generated images. Nothing is charged until you select Generate.
Steps
Go to Sidebar β Create β Write Article. The wizard has 10 steps, listed down the left so you can see where you are and go back.
1. Topic & setup. Enter what the article is about, as a sentence or as keywords. Set the countries you are targeting and the language. Both are pre-filled from your Brand Profile.
2. Article type. Choose a format. There are 12, including how-to guides, listicles, checklists, comparison articles, ultimate guides, product reviews, case studies, and news articles. How-to guides are marked as recommended. Pick the shape that matches what someone searching your topic actually wants.
3. Research. Choose how NarraSEO gathers material. Web & SERP Research is the default and is the right choice for most articles. The others let you supply your own sources, work from video, or focus on recent news.
4. Competitor articles. NarraSEO shows articles currently ranking for your topic and you select up to 5 to analyse for gaps. Let it auto-select unless you have specific pages in mind.
5. Primary keyword. A table of candidate keywords with search volume, difficulty, and intent. Choose one, or use the suggestion option to let NarraSEO pick.
6. Secondary keywords. Supporting terms, up to 10. The suggestion option pre-selects up to 3 recommended ones, which is a reasonable starting point.
7. Title. Pick from generated titles, each with an SEO score, or write your own. You can regenerate the list up to 3 times.
8. Writing setup. Content goal, article length, tone, and point of view, pre-filled from your Brand Profile. There is also a free-text field for specific guidance, such as a claim to avoid or an angle to take.
9. Outline. The proposed structure. Edit headings directly, change their level, and set how deep each section goes. This is the step most worth your attention, because fixing the structure here is faster than fixing the finished article.
10. Enhance your article. Turn on the extras you want: cover image, in-article images, related videos, FAQs, internal links, external references, key takeaways, table of contents, tables and checklists, a call to action, and an author byline. Image sources can be non-copyrighted stock or NarraSEO AI images.
Then select Generate article. The footer shows the credit cost before you commit.
While it Generates
You are taken to a progress screen. It works through gathering data, web research, fact checking, competitor analysis, quote and image extraction, and SEO optimization, then writes section by section, showing which section it is on. After the text is finished, it prepares the media.
You can leave the page. Generation continues in the background and the article appears in Documents when it is done.
After it Generates
The article opens in the writing workspace. Before you publish, three things are worth doing:
- Read it. It is a strong draft, not finished work. Check facts, claims, and anything specific to your business.
- Check the Guidelines panel on the right for the content score and any remaining gaps.
- Check the SEO tab for the meta title and description, and edit them if they do not read well in the search preview.
Then publish to your connected site, or download the article as a file.
Notes
If 10 steps is more than you want for a routine post, use Quick Draft instead. It takes a topic and makes most of these decisions for you, at the same 300 credit price.
Your progress is saved as you go. You can close the wizard and pick it up later.
Generation does not need your browser open. Closing the tab does not cancel it.
