Improve an Article with Content Boost

Content Boost closes keyword, GEO, and E-E-A-T gaps for 100 credits. You are only charged when your draft actually changes, and undo restores the previous draft without returning the credits.

Content Boost is the one-action version of improving your Content Score. It rewrites parts of the draft to close keyword, GEO, and E-E-A-T gaps.

It costs 100 credits, as of 2026-08-30.

Steps

  1. Open the article in the writing workspace.
  2. Find Content Boost at the top of the right-hand panel.
  3. Select it. The confirmation dialog opens.
  4. Read the gaps it lists.
  5. Tick any optional enhancements you want included.
  6. Select Content Boost to run it.

What the Dialog Tells You

The description states the terms plainly: "Closes keyword, GEO, and E-E-A-T gaps. You are only charged when your draft actually changes. Undo restores the previous draft but does not return the credits."

You also see:

  • Score, your current Content Score.
  • Whether this is your First boost or Boost 3 of this article.
  • Gaps Content Boost will target, listed specifically.
  • Optional enhancements under Recommended to close red gaps.

If your score is already strong you see the gaps framed differently: "Your score is already 84, but these gaps remain", with the note "Your draft is already strong. Another boost is optional."

That note is honest advice. A second boost on a strong draft usually moves the score a few points for another 100 credits.

What it Changes

Keyword coverage and placement, GEO signals like takeaways, FAQs, and extractable structure, and E-E-A-T phrasing.

It works on the existing draft rather than regenerating from scratch, so your structure and argument survive. Wording changes.

Optional enhancements offered in the dialog depend on the article, for example Weave in expertise where that would close a gap.

When you are Charged

Only when the draft actually changes. If Content Boost finds nothing to improve, you are not charged.

Once it has changed the draft, the 100 credits are spent. Undoing afterwards does not return them.

Undoing a Boost

After a run you see Score updated with the before and after.

Occasionally you see Boost needs undo instead, with the explanation "Restore your previous draft to recover the higher score." That means the boost lowered the score, and undo is the right response.

To undo:

  1. Select Undo.
  2. The dialog Undo Content Boost? appears, explaining "Your draft will be restored to how it was before Content Boost. This boost run cannot be refunded."
  3. Select Restore previous draft, or Keep boosted draft to cancel.

When to Use it, and when Not To

Worth it when the score is Fair or Needs work and several gaps are red, when you have a batch of drafts and limited time, or when the gaps are the mechanical kind such as missing takeaways, FAQs, or references.

Not worth it when the score is already Excellent, when only one gap remains and you could close it by hand in two minutes, or when the weak component is E-E-A-T and you have no author profile. In that last case, fill in Brand Profile β†’ Author first, since it is free and it fixes every future article too.

Never a substitute for reading the draft. Content Boost improves measurable signals. It does not know whether your article is correct.

Notes

Editing by hand achieves the same score improvements for nothing. Content Boost buys time, not results you could not otherwise get.

You can boost the same article more than once. Each run is a fresh 100 credits, and returns diminish.

There is a safety limit on how many times a single article can be boosted. If you reach it you will see "Safety limit reached" with the suggestion to duplicate the article. In normal use, credits run out long before this matters.

The score pauses updating while a boost runs, and resumes when it finishes.

Understanding your content score explains the components Content Boost targets, which is worth reading first if you want to know what you are paying for.
