Plan Content on the Calendar

The Content Calendar shows what is scheduled and when, with bands for keywords and schedule. A generated content plan dates up to 100 topics across your calendar for 50 credits.

The Content Calendar is where you decide what goes out and when. Find it at Sidebar β†’ Plan β†’ Content Calendar.

Note that the page URL says content-planner while the label says Content Calendar. They are the same thing.

Credit figures are as of 2026-08-30.

The Layout

The calendar has two control bands above it.

Keywords. Add topics, or auto-fill open slots from your keyword planner.

Schedule. How often and when new posts go out. This is also where Autoblog is configured.

Below them is the calendar itself, showing scheduled items on their dates.

Generating a Content Plan

Rather than dating articles one at a time, you can have NarraSEO build a plan.

  1. Open the Content Calendar.
  2. Create a plan, giving it a name and description.
  3. Provide the seed material it should work from.
  4. Select generate.

A content plan costs 50 credits and covers up to 100 topics dated across your calendar. One price for the whole plan, so there is no reason to generate it in small batches.

Setting your Publishing Frequency

Under the Schedule band, Publishing frequency offers 1Γ— week, 2Γ— week, Weekdays, or Daily. This is used to auto-fill open calendar slots and to drive Autoblog.

The control shows what the cadence will cost: "About N articles a month, or N credits, at this cadence." Check that against your plan's monthly credits before committing to Daily.

You also set which weekdays to publish on, and the default publish time.

Adding a Single Article

Use Schedule on a date, or Add article. You can only schedule posts for today or future dates.

Schedule a post asks how you want to create it:

  • Write article wizard. Open the full wizard and schedule this slot while you write.
  • Quick draft. Generate a fast draft and keep it on this date.
  • Autoblog keyword, marked Automated. Drafts near publish time and posts to your CMS when Autoblog is on.

Tracking Status

Calendar items carry a status you can update as work progresses, so the calendar reflects what has actually been written and published rather than only what was intended.

Working the Plan

A calendar is only useful if it matches reality. Two habits make the difference:

Plan a month, not a year. Search opportunities change, and a twelve month plan built today will be wrong by month four.

Leave gaps. A calendar filled to capacity has no room for the timely article that matters, or for the second pass on something that underperformed.

Archiving a Plan

Plans can be archived when they are finished, keeping the calendar readable without deleting the history.

Notes

The calendar is per project.

Generating a plan charges 50 credits each time.

Turning on Autoblog is free. Each scheduled article is charged when it is written, at 300 credits, or 500 with AI images.

Scheduling an article does not write it. Unless Autoblog is on, the slot is a reminder for you.

Autoblog, scheduling an individual article, and filling the calendar from saved keywords all have their own articles.
