My Article Stopped Generating

Generation appeared to stall, or you closed the tab and are not sure what happened.

First: Check your Documents List

Open Sidebar → Create → Documents and find the article.

The status tells you where it stands:

Closing the tab does not stop generation. The work happens on the server. If you closed the browser, refreshed, or lost your connection, the article most likely finished without you.

This is the answer most of the time. Check the list before doing anything else.

If it Says Generating and Has Not Moved

Generation is not instant. A full article involves research, outlining, section writing, and media preparation, and a long article takes longer than a short one.

The title bar shows the current phase: Researching, Writing, Thinking, or Preparing media. If the phase is changing, it is working.

Give it time before intervening. Reloading the page is safe and shows you the current state.

If it is Stuck at in Progress

Check your Credits

The most common real cause. If your balance ran out partway, the work cannot continue.

Open Settings → Usage. If the balance is empty, buy a credit pack or wait for renewal, then start again.

Check Whether Partial Content Exists

Open the document. If some sections were written, you may be able to keep them and continue editing rather than starting over.

Try Again

If the document is empty and stuck, start a new one. Where generation failed before producing content, you should not have been charged the full amount, and Settings → Usage will show what was actually spent.

If Media is Missing but Text is There

That is media hydration still running, not a failure. The title bar shows Preparing media.

Images arrive after the text. Wait for the phase to clear.

If Content Score is Not Updating

The score pauses while generation, media hydration, Content Boost, Humanize, or Plagiarism are running. It resumes afterwards.

During generation you will see "Live scores refresh as each paragraph completes."

Quick Checks in Order

1. Look at the Documents list. Most articles finished.
2. Reload the page if it is open. It shows the true current state.
3. Check Settings → Usage for the credit balance.
4. Open the document to see whether partial content exists.
5. Wait for Preparing media if the text is complete and images are not.
6. Start again only if the document is genuinely empty and stuck.

Notes

Autoblog and scheduled articles generate without you present, so they follow the same rules and appear in Documents when done.

If generation repeatedly fails on the same topic, try a different research method or a shorter length. A specific source that cannot be reached can hold up research.

If it fails repeatedly across different articles and your credits are fine, contact support with the document name and roughly when you started it.
